According to Rozsansky, the Mediterranean diet is inspired by the foods consumed in the countries on the Mediterranean Sea. These include Greece, Spain, France and southern Italy.
It has been noticed that the people in the Mediterranean countries are more healthy and live longer. So, during many years, he eating habits of these people has been followed.
This diet contains foods like vegetables, fruits, fish, legumes and whole grains. It also allows the moderate consumption of wine, especially red.
